Ingredients and suppliers

I am fortunate in having found the best local suppliers and partners that the region has to offer.

Hjemme hos Wenche therefore only serves food based on genuine produce. Playful lambs from Jerken. Nils Christian at Trommestad provides beef from oxen that have been reared on acorn all their lives. Deer from Lise at Fjermedal. Fish and shellfish straight from the ocean. Fresh vegetables and tomatoes that have lapped up the sun in Terje Vigen's kingdom in Hesnes. Mia's delicious honey from Vegårshei. The beer is of course from our fabulous local brewery Nøgne Ø, or from Arendals Bryggeri. Apple cider and spirits straight from the tap of Ole Puntervold in Grimstad. Hjemme hos Wenche is licensed to serve beer, wine and spirits both indoors and outdoors.

I have a personal relationship with all the ingredients. This means there are stories that I am happy to serve together with the food.
